First, anyone can request a Gooroo tutor online. In this request, you’ll be asked to include what you want to learn, as well as when and where you want to learn it. You can also let us know if you’ll need any accommodations or have highly specific learning needs.
After you submit your request, our algorithm begins working to find the student their match. We will notify you when we find a tutor who is write for you, at which point you’ll have exclusive access to book that tutor for a limited time. Once you’ve confirmed your session in our app or on our website, you are all ready to go!
During the first session, the tutor will get to know the student’s learning style, actively integrating it into the lesson and expanding on it in sessions to come. As a business that prioritizes community, we keep close contact with our tutors, and we are confident that after just one session you’ll think of them as highly as we do. But if for any reason you are not satisfied with your first session, you will receive another match and session for free.
After your first session, your tutor will provide personalized feedback, which is an excellent way to track student growth. The feedback will also include goals for the next session, or for the student to reach in their own time, ensuring consistent forward progress.
